SAP Energy Assessments for Residential Dwellings:

SAP is the goverments Standard Assessment Procedure for the energy ratings of dwellings. It is now a requirement of Building Regulations Part L1A 2006 that any new dwelling must have a SAP assessment which is a duty under the building regulations and accompanies a building regulations package. It is also required as of 6th April 2008 a Energy Performance Certificate is also required on completion.

Atelier 3 Sap offers new build Domestic Energy SAP Assessments and are undertaken by our Accredited Energy Consultants using approved software. Atelier 3 SAP are Accredited members of the NHER who are members of FAERO (Federation of Authorised Energy Rating Orginisations).

The Energy Rating report provides the Target CO2 Emission Rate ( TER ) and the Design CO2 Emission Rate ( DER ) for the proposed dwelling.

These, together with additional criteria demonstrate compliance with the Approved Documents L1A 2006.
